The World of Hyatt credit card is a high value card and is a must-have for many members of the World of Hyatt loyalty program. In addition to a higher accumulation rate of points, you can also receive many perks and benefits just by being a cardholder.
World of Hyatt points are very valuable, and rates can be seen using a published award chart, giving you a lot of leverage when booking hotel stays. This card has a $95 annual fee, but you will easily get more out of the card through their free nights and other benefits.

Benefits
Automatic Discoverist Status
Cardholders get automatic discoverist status. Here’s a list of what this will get you:
- 10% bonus on earning points at Hyatt properties
- Preferred rooms based on availability
- Late checkout (2pm)
- Complimentary bottled water
- Access to premium internet (when available)
Since you’ll have World of Hyatt elite status, you can also earn 1 bonus point per eligible dollar spent on American Airlines through their partnership.

Free Nights and Night Credits
A great perk of this card is a free night at a category 1-4 property that you get every card anniversary. Every time you renew your $95 fee, you’ll receive the free stay. This alone is worth well more than the annual fee, as you can easily many hotels for more than that.
In addition, you can also earn another free stay every time you spend $15K on the card.
In addition to free nights, you will also automatically receive 5 tier-qualifying night credits. This will give you a head start every year towards status for the following year.
An additional 2 tier-qualifying nights can be earned every time you spend $5,000 on your card.

Earning Points
You’ll earn 4 points per dollar spent on Hyatt purchases, in addition to the 5 points you’d already earn as a World of Hyatt member. Since you also have a 10% bonus for having Discoverist status (complimentary with this card), you’ll earn a total of 9.5 points per dollar. This is tremendous value.
On top of that, you’ll get 2 points per dollar on dining, airline tickets, and gym memberships. For all other purchases, the rate is 1 point per dollar.
Credit Card Welcome Offer
As of today, September 25, 2024, Hyatt is offering 30,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 points during your first 3 months as a cardholder.
You can also earn an additional 30,000 points by earning 2 bonus points per qualifying dollar in the first 6 months on purchases that normally earn 1 point. That’s 60,000 points total, which is incredible value if you get both parts of this welcome offer.
Bottom Line
The World of Hyatt credit card is a valuable card to have for Hyatt loyalists. In addition to the bonus points you’ll earn using this card, the additional benefits such as the annual free night and automatic Discoverist status make the $95 annual fee seem like nothing.
