Yesterday, Hyatt announced that members can now earn and redeem points and night credits at The Standard Hotels. Hyatt acquired The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels back in August 2024 and has been working on integrating them into its program.
Points earning is the same as most other properties. World of Hyatt members earn 5 base points per qualifying dollar of spending at The Standard and The StandardX Hotels. World of Hyatt cardmembers earn 4 bonus points per qualifying dollar of spending (in addition to their Discoverist status bonus).
Each qualifying stay will earn credit towards elite tier status and Milestone Rewards. These properties will also qualify for the Hyatt Brand Explorer reward, which is always a good thing that comes with Hyatt welcoming a new brand.
We’re still waiting for word on when Bunkhouse Hotels will join, but those properties will have the same points earning and brand explorer benefits when they do.

The Standard Hotels are joining the World of Hyatt program in phases. As of today, these following properties are participating:
- The Standard, High Line (Category 6)
- The Standard, East Village (Category 6)
- The Standard, Bangkok (Category 4)
- The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit (Category 2)
- The Standard, Hua Hin (Category 3)
- The StandardX, Melbourne (Category 3)
- The Standard, Maldives (Category 6)
- The Standard, Singapore (Category 5)
- The Standard, Ibiza (Category 6)
- The Standard, London (Category 6)
- Opening soon: Pattaya Na Jomien (Category 3)
“With more than 56 million World of Hyatt members and counting, we’re not only rewarding members for more stays, but we’re opening the door to a portfolio of meaningful experiences that foster self-discovery and a deeper connection to the world,” said Laurie Blair, senior vice president of global marketing, Hyatt.
As with any Hyatt expansion, I’m happy to see more options to earn and redeem points for World of Hyatt. I’ve never stayed at a Standard Hotel, but the brand seems unique and interesting with some great properties. I’m hoping to head to Singapore in the coming months, so that’ll be a chance to try out the property there.
