Yesterday, Hyatt announced the integration of the Bunkhouse Hotels into the World of Hyatt program. Members can now earn and redeem at 7 Bunkhouse Hotels located in the United States and Mexico, with another location set to open soon.
Earlier this year, Hyatt integrated The Standard and StandardX Hotels into its loyalty program. These acquisitions, along with the Bunkhouse Hotels, have brought in a total 17 new properties so far, with more coming soon. This has helped the company increase its Lifestyle portfolio and its relatively small footprint.
I like this addition. The Bunkhouse Hotels offer unique stays in unique properties in select locations that are pretty hard to find in other parts of the Hyatt portfolio.
The new properties available for World of Hyatt members are the following:
- Hotel Saint Augustine (Category 6)
- Hotel Saint Cecilia (Category 7)
- Hotel San José (Category 5)
- Austin Motel (Category 5)
- Carpenter Hotel (Category 5)
- Hotel San Cristobal (Category 7)
- Hotel San Fernando (Category 4)
As with any new Hyatt brand, this is an opportunity to check off another brand for the Hyatt Brand Explorer reward, which gives you a free category 1-4 free night award for every five brands stayed.

Additionally, World of Hyatt is making four FIND experiences via auctions using points as they introduce the Bunkhouse Hotels brand.
- Lone Star Luxury at Hotel Saint Augustine: A 3 night stay in a luxe Atelier Suite at Hotel Saint Augustine, a custom cowboy boot design experience, and a four-course meal at Perseid, personally curated by acclaimed chef, Aaron Bludorn. While at the hotel: $250 dining credit, $250 retail credit, two take-home signature robes, and 100,000 AAdvantage miles.
- Vinyl & BBQ in the Heart of Texas: 4 nights at either the Hotel Saint Cecilia or the Carpenter Hotel. Private listening session at a vinyl bar, “behind the smoke” tour at Michelin Starred BBQ restaurant, La Barbecue, $500 hotel food and beverage credit, $250 hotel retail credit, two take-home signature robes, and 100,000 AAdvantage miles.
- Buenas Noches, a Hotel San Fernando Takeover: 2 night stay at the Hotel San Fernando with a private rooftop cocktail class and a rooftop brunch. Bring up to 23 guests.
- A Baja Awakening at Hotel San Cristóbal: 3 nights at the Hotel San Cristóbal with a private yoga class, private sound bath experience, and a “private boat adventure.” Also enjoy a three-course dinner, $250 hotel food and beverage credit, $250 hotel retail credit, two take-home signature robes, and 100,000 AAdvantage miles. Private transportation from SJD Airport is included.
“Bunkhouse Hotels are nothing short of beloved in the communities they serve,” said Amar Lalvani, President & Creative Director of Hyatt’s Lifestyle Portfolio. “We are excited to introduce these one-of-a-kind properties to our World of Hyatt members who I am positive will fall in love with them just as we have.”
