Tokyo Haneda Airport to Add Massive Godzilla Statue in Terminal 3

The 40-meter-long, 9-meter-tall Godzilla statue will go on display starting in December 2025.

Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd., in a partnership with Toho Animation, has announced the addition of a large Godzilla statue in Tokyo Haneda Airport’s Terminal 3. Dubbed the “Haneda Godzilla Global Project,” the statue is scheduled to go on display in December.

The statue will be located in the departures section of Terminal 3, overlooking the right-hand side of the check-in area, where ANA, United, and Singapore Airlines typically have their check-in desks:

The Godzilla statue will span 40 meters (131 feet) long and 9 meters (29 feet) tall. According to the airport, this will be the largest indoor Godzilla statue in Japan and the world.

In addition to the large statue, passengers will also find smaller, separate statues and Godzilla graphics on the 2nd floor of the terminal, where the arrivals lobby is located.

The project hopes to connect international travelers with the country’s entertainment industry upon arrival. The displays and graphics are expected to run for 1 year.
