I recently had a chance to stop by the Hyatt Centric Fanueil Hall Boston. This Hyatt is located right in the heart of Boston, close to tourist destinations, offices, and transportation.
Note that my time here was very, very limited. I tried my best to take photos and get a close look at everything, but sorry if I missed a few things! I wasn’t able to visit the onsite restaurant either.
Either way, let’s go over this hotel.
Cost and Location
This Hyatt Centric is a category 6. Point redemptions begin at 21,000 points during off-peak times, and can go up as high as 29,000 points a night during peak times.
Cash rates vary significantly. I searched for the price of every single night at this property for June and July, 1 night in a King Bed room. June prices varied from $248 to $736 a night, with an average rate of $462 a night in the month. July prices were a bit lower as it was further away, ranging from $216 to $502, with an average of $375 a night. It’s definitely priced like a category 6 hotel.

Meanwhile, this hotel is located pretty much in the center of Boston. The building itself blends well with its surroundings and is a prime location for both business travelers and tourists alike.
An MBTA subway station (T station) is quite literally a 30-second walk from the hotel! You can’t beat the convenience of this place.
Let’s take a look inside.
Impressions

The lobby, although small, was pretty nice. A small lounge area was across from the front desk.
The front desk agents were incredibly friendly. They were very welcoming and made a great first impression! They had a great mix of formal, but at the same time, a friendly and casual way of interacting with the guests.

I made my way up to the 10th floor.

This is a standard King Bed room. The Hyatt website has these rooms billed as 215 to 275 square feet.
There’s no denying that they’re on the smaller side. However, as most guests will likely spend most of their time outside, you can argue that they work out for most people.

As I’ve mentioned in previous Hyatt reviews, hotel chains tend to use similar/same mattresses and beddings in many of their hotels. You typically won’t notice much of a difference in bedding within a brand.

A small closet was next to the TV with all of the usual things such as an iron and iron board, and several hangers.

A coffee machine, along with a couple of bottles of water were next to the closet.

This room was located on the front side of the hotel. There wasn’t much of a view, as the hotel is located on a small, one-way street surrounded by office buildings.

The bathroom was very nice.

The shower was small, but more than enough. I also liked how the bathroom was well lit.

Shower amenities were BeeKind, by Gilchrist & Soames. I’ve had the same in other Hyatt Centrics I’ve stayed at; I always find them to be nice.

Other Amenities and Surroundings

There’s a fitness room on the basement level of the hotel.

I unfortunately didn’t have time to stop by the onsite restaurant, but it’s located adjacent to the lobby.

As I mentioned earlier, this Hyatt is located in a very “centric” part of Boston (totally no pun intended). Close to both offices and tourist spots, this is perfect for both business travelers and leisure travelers.

An MBTA Blue Line and Orange Line station is located 30 seconds from the hotel. The Blue Line, in particular, has access to Boston Logan Airport. The Orange Line will also take you to several other busy parts of the city.
Concluding Thoughts

I do think that this hotel’s best feature is its location. With that said, I liked the hotel’s modern interiors. The room and lobby were well lit with up-to-date furnishings. The rooms are on the smaller end, but if you’re spending most of your time outside, whether as a tourist or visiting an office in Boston, these rooms should be enough. The friendly front desk agents were an added plus as well.
I’m hoping to visit for a longer, proper stay next time!

The spelling is Faneuil . I found the service at this hotel to be pretty poor.
Thanks…
Yeah, I honestly didn’t have much interaction with staff/service aside from check-in since I couldn’t spend much time there. Didn’t really get to see the rest of service…
