Boston Logan Airport has two hotels immediately on the airport grounds: The Hilton Boston Logan Airport and the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor.
I’ve stayed at the Hyatt Regency many times and have written extensively about it on this blog. The Hilton is physically located closer to the airport terminals, however, and I recently had a chance to stay there for a change.
The Hilton is also physically connected to the airport terminals, meaning you don’t have to head outside or use an airport shuttle. This makes it a strong option for late-night arrivals or early morning flights.
Checking In
I booked a one-night king bed for $215, including taxes and fees. That’s typical (maybe even on the cheaper side) for an airport hotel in Boston, and similar to rates you’d see on a typical night at the Hyatt Regency. However, hotel prices will easily shoot up in Boston during busy seasons, like in April, July, and October.
My main hotel loyalty program is World of Hyatt, so I always find myself comparing my stays to what the Hyatt equivalent would be whenever I stay at a different chain. However, I did get Silver status with Hilton after this stay (which is next to nothing, I know).
I checked in online on the app, which was easy:

The lobby included a nice high ceiling, and Christmas decorations added a welcome feel.

My overall impression of this hotel was that it’s very much an airport business hotel. It’s not overly fancy or luxurious, but it serves its intended purpose well. It’s a nice, solid property.
The front desk had a line:

I made my way up to the 10th floor, which is the top floor of this hotel.

From what I could tell online, this property has 604 guestrooms. This was evident with the long hallways that I encountered when I got to my floor.

I was assigned room 1025:

Room Impressions
As I said earlier, it’s very much your typical airport business hotel. The room was solid and had everything I needed.

I found the bed to be comfortable:

Facing the bed was a 55-inch TV, a desk, and a few other amenities.

The mini fridge was located in the left cabinet below the TV. A coffee maker was beside the desk.

I also found two water bottles below the TV, in addition to two more already inside the fridge.

Beside the bed in the corner of the room was a chair with a footrest, accompanied by a small table and another large lamp.

The safe was located next to the bed, inside the nightstand.

I hung my coat inside the closet:

My room faced the airport’s Terminal E. Some rooms are designated as city view or airport view rooms, with the latter allowing you to see ramp activity at the airport’s Terminal A.

The bathroom, meanwhile, was nice and well-lit:

The shower came in the form of a tub with a shower curtain. I found the water pressure to be ample, although it took a little adjusting and getting used to.

Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were by Crabtree & Evelyn:

More of them on the bathroom sink:

Other Hotel Amenities
An ice and water machine was located down the hallway, which I always appreciate. I like to be able to fill my own water, instead of worrying about how many bottles of water I have left.

A 24-hour gym is located on the ground level. A pool is also located further down.

Connolly’s Publik House was the on-site restaurant, open until late at night. I didn’t eat here, but I did get a photo of the menu:

Bottom Line

All in all, this is a solid airport hotel and is very convenient for late-night and early morning flights. The direct link to the terminal buildings is a major plus.
As I mentioned, the Hyatt Regency requires a ride on a hotel shuttle. I personally don’t mind the shuttle ride since it’s very short (and I often just walk it from the terminal, it’s about 10 minutes), but I understand some may prefer the Hilton for the direct terminal access.
The property itself isn’t something to be wowed at, but I think it’s perfect for its intended purpose of an airport business hotel.
I’ll likely continue to stay at the Hyatt Regency just because I’m immersed in the World of Hyatt ecosystem. However, this Hilton is a very solid property, and it was nice to get to know Boston’s other airport hotel.
