Recently, I finally got a chance to use LaGuardia Airport since its renovation. I used terminal C, and I was very impressed by the airport. I found it to be clean and modern, with great lighting. Here’s a look!
Checking In And Security
My first impression was how well lit the terminal was. The check in space was big, and was separated between the general section and Sky Priority. It was a quiet Saturday morning.
I also found it easy to find my way around the airport. Signs were frequent and easy to see. TSA is a level up from the check in desks.
I liked this mezzanine space towards the edge of the building. It reminds me of a shopping mall.
Signage showing the wait times for each TSA line was very helpful.

Gates
Nice views of outside on the way to the gates.
Many shops and stores can be found in many parts of the terminal.
The lighting again makes it very modern. The high ceiling is nice to see, as it results in an open feeling that makes the building very welcoming. Large windows also allow a lot of natural light.
More natural light here from the windows overhead.
Large map of the terminal, and departure information.
The seats themselves weren’t anything special, but each one had power ports and USB ports next to them.
I didn’t notice any gates that could potentially become overcrowded. My flight was a full Airbus A321, but there seemed to be enough space in the gate area to accommodate all the passengers waiting around.
The restrooms were clean and spotless!
Finishing Thoughts
LaGuardia Airport’s renovation is widely considered to be a success, and I can see exactly why. This is a full 180 from its previous form, and these improvements will no doubt make travel through LaGuardia feel better.
