Hyatt announced the opening of Andaz Miami Beach earlier today, bringing World of Hyatt members a fantastic beachfront option in the area. This also marks the introduction of the Andaz brand to the state of Florida, replacing The Unbound Collection property (Confidante Miami Beach) that was in its place.
This Andaz property features a total of 287 guestrooms, with 64 of them being suites.
For points booking, this hotel is a category 6. To redeem, one night will go for 21,000 points during off-peak, 25,000 during standard, and 29,000 during peak periods. Cash rates are high; the lowest prices I’m seeing are well into the high $400s, and the highest that I’m seeing are in the high $700s. It’s priced like an Andaz, for sure.
Let’s take a look at some photos.

It’s a gorgeous looking property, and those good looks start right from the lobby.
This property was designed by EoA Group along with the Hyatt Lifestyle Group’s in-house design team.

The rooms seem to have a bright personality, thanks to both the natural light and the colors of the room.
“It’s a place where you arrive and never want to leave,” said Amar Lalvani, President & Creative Director of the Lifestyle Group, Hyatt.

This Andaz has three dining concepts by the Jose Andres Group. According to Hyatt, the “Aguasal and Bar Centro are currently open, with the highly anticipated The Bazaar by José Andrés to debut later this year.”

Just by looking at the photos, I’m impressed with both the rooms and the overall property.
I think this is a great addition for us World of Hyatt members. Its fantastic beachfront location with its up-to-date rooms and amenities inside is a strong option against the likes of some of the larger hotel brands in the area. Although cash rates are high, that’s expected for a category 6 in Miami Beach.
