Here Are the Most Searched Summer Destinations on Delta.com

London, Paris, and Rome highlighted the top 10 most searched international destinations.

Yesterday, Delta shared its 10 most searched summer destinations based on search data from Delta.com and the Fly Delta App. This is their third annual list.

The data here includes searches between November 1, 2024 and March 25, 2025 for travel between May 1, 2025 and August 31, 2025.

Delta is among the many airlines withdrawing guidance after a less-than-stellar first quarter, citing weak domestic leisure demand. The airline has noted, however, that premium and international demand remains strong, which this search data sort of seems to echo.

The top 10 most searched international destinations are as follows:

  1. London, England
  2. Paris, France
  3. Rome, Italy
  4. Cancun, Mexico
  5. Athens, Greece
  6. Tokyo, Japan
  7. Amsterdam, Netherlands
  8. Dublin, Ireland
  9. Barcelona, Spain
  10. Lisbon, Portugal

Remember that this list will skew towards destinations that are a part of Delta’s network, since we’re talking about searches from Delta.com. Either way, it’s an interesting list that reveals what destinations travelers have in mind.

The airline noted that searches for Paris, France, increased by about 16% compared to last year. Searches for Tokyo, Japan, grew by a whopping 54% compared to last year, and have moved up from the 7th spot to the 6th. Japan has been a tourism hotspot lately in Asia, made evident by its record numbers of foreign visitors.

Lisbon, Portugal, made it to this top 10 list for the first time. The destination saw a 6.5% increase in searches and overtook Vancouver, Canada for the 10th spot.

Amid the economic uncertainty that we have seen over the past few months, international travel is one area that has held strong, according to airlines. We’ll have to wait for the actual US outbound numbers until later this year, but with many destinations seeing increases in search numbers, this helps the case for that continuing international demand that many airlines have noted throughout Q1.

The top 10 domestic destinations are mostly Delta hubs, as many passengers use these airports to connect onward to other destinations. These included New York City, Atlanta, Orlando, Las Vegas, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, Minneapolis, Detroit, and Honolulu.

I think it’s cool that Delta shares these results ahead of the busy summer travel season. I don’t know exactly what my summer season will look like yet, but I may join some of these destinations if time allows.
