American Airlines is replacing its first class product with a “Business Class plus” seat. They are calling them “Flagship Suite Preferred,” which will include exclusive amenities and more space located at the front of the business class cabin. They will be included on new Boeing 787-9 aircraft and retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Let’s take a look.
The first difference between regular business class and Flagship Preferred comes with the addition of amenities. Passengers can enjoy Nest Bedding mattress pads, Nest Bedding pajamas, throw blankets, and memory foam lumbar pillows. An exclusive amenity kit with products by Thirteen Lune by Joanna Vargas and Relevant will also be available.
The seat itself is going to have more space compared to the other business class seats. The bulkhead position is what allows this, and passengers will see more storage space as well.
American Airlines has yet to announce price details of this product, nor information about upgrades and mileage details for these seats.
This Flagship Suite Preferred product will debut as part of American’s new business class, which is expected to make its arrival later this year in 2024. I will be keeping an eye out for more pricing information, and I’m looking forward to trying these seats.
