American Airlines Gifting 100,000 Miles to the First Baby Born in May

A lucky baby on May 1 will be born with 100,000 AAdvantage miles in their account.

In a press release earlier today, American announced that they are gifting 100,000 AAdvantage miles to the first baby born on May 1.

This is in line with Frequent Flyer Day, also on May 1, which celebrates loyal frequent flyers around the world. The airline celebrates 44 years of its customers earning and redeeming miles with the AAdvantage loyalty program, the first frequent flyer program in the airline industry.

To qualify, parents are to post a photo on X tagging @americanair and include the hashtags #AAdvantage, #FrequentFlyerDay, and #Promotion. The time born with the time zone must also be included. The winning baby will be gifted 100,000 miles upon verification.

Parents should also enroll their child in the AAdvantage program, which is free and easy.

This is fun to see as someone who has been a member of the AAdvantage program since a little kid. These 100,000 miles can open up the child to the world of international travel, something not everyone gets to experience. Congratulations to the lucky parents too!
