I recently bought a new check-in suitcase from SwissGear. After one of my previous suitcases got a jammed wheel that I couldn’t fix, I needed a new one. I came across this budget-friendly suitcase when I was searching online, and it has been worth the purchase so far. I think it’s one of, if not the best budget suitcase you can find right now. Here’s what it looks like.
The size of this suitcase is 29 inches. So far I’ve had trips where I had camera equipment inside, another where I just had a bunch of clothes, and another where I had a whole mixture of stuff where the weight was barely under the 50lb/23kg limit for economy class. My luggage fit well every time, and it’s expandable if necessary.
Inside the suitcase, you’ll find a couple of net pockets. One on the inside, and the other on the opening side. They’re handy for smaller items, although I wish they were bunched up into more smaller pockets, that way it could’ve been easier to organize the small items. However, they still work well.
This pocket is in the main compartment, and it’s detachable. This is helpful for storing smaller items and accessories such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, cream, and really anything that you want in a waterproof compartment.
The handle is nice and sturdy, which is helpful as a suitcase this size can become quite heavy. It moves well being on 4 wheels.
As mentioned, the size of this check-in suitcase comes in at 29 inches. This is how it looks next to my smaller carry-on. I got this for $133 on Amazon, which in my opinion is a great deal. Sure this isn’t anything fancy, but it does everything you need a suitcase to do, all for that price.
