American Airlines and Hyatt are among the biggest brands in their respective industries. They also have a loyalty partnership, which allows elite status members of each loyalty program to earn extra and receive benefits with the other.
If you have elite status with either American Airlines AAdvantage or the World of Hyatt, it’s imperative that you take advantage of this and link your accounts today.
Let’s go over how this partnership works and the benefits you’ll earn.
Register For The Partnership
First, you’ll have to link your AAdvantage and World of Hyatt accounts to receive benefits. Go to one of the accounts to link; you don’t have to go to both to register.
After logging into AAdvantage, click “Link Hyatt Account” under Account Summary. If you’re on Hyatt, scroll down after you reach the Account page.
Earn Bonus Points
By registering for this partnership, you’ll earn bonus points for each loyalty program.
First, World of Hyatt elite members earn 1 bonus Hyatt point for every qualifying dollar spent on American Airlines. This is in addition to the AAdvantage miles you originally would earn.
Keep in mind that the flights have to be booked through American Airlines.

As an American Airlines elite status holder, you’ll earn 1 AAdvantage bonus point for every qualifying dollar spent with a Hyatt brand. Hyatt stays count towards this, but all other Hyatt experiences qualify as well, such as dining, meetings, and events. There’s a lot of opportunity to earn points here.
In addition, Concierge Key members automatically receive World of Hyatt Globalist status when linking accounts.
Through this partnership, American and Hyatt will also offer promotions every so often. For example, you might see a limited time status match offer from time to time. This allows members to retain that status for a longer period of time by meeting qualifications.
